The Alliance - Producing

The Alliance offers an umbrella for film-makers who wish to pitch or develop their ideas through a company with a wealth of producing experience in Film, Television and commercials across a variety of genres. This variety allows the collective to share their experience and resources whilst offering film-makers with a proven track record and a proposed project, the mechanism to pursue their idea. By coming together, this alliance of producers and executive producers aim to strengthen the region’s ability to land commissions and encourage production in the Region.

The Alliance - Advocacy

The Alliance are working with established partners, with a particular focus on fiction and factual drama, to highlight what the city has to offer:  an expanse of talented crew and production services; a wealth and diversity of locations; and a filming environment which makes Bristol highly cost-effective in comparison with filming in other regions.

Unlike some other cities, there are currently no financial incentives to film in the area. However, with the momentum of the Channel 4 bid and recently appointed UNESCO City of Film status there is already a ground swell of support to be harnessed.  We are working towards appointing a steering committee to explore/lobby for other incentives that could bring productions to the region.
